Kate- Cranston, RI and Rhode Island Maternity Photos

Kate is the mama to quite possibly the most photographed kid ever. And with baby #2 on the way, this one is sure to follow. Last Sunday, while the guys watched the Patriots, we took a spin down to Edgewood in Cranston and did some photos around the area. The sun was just coming down and we shot until dark. I know it's tough for pregnant ladies to be up, down, sitting, standing, on rocks, on benches and more, but Kate did everything I asked! Thanks Kate! Looking forward to the new little one. Auntie Steph has her camera all ready.

Olivia's First Birthday- Cranston, RI Children's Photography

Olivia was an absolute cutie pie- she just turned 1 and her parents wanted to take some pictures before the weather turned. We took advantage of the park and Olivia smiled through it all- we posed her on the stairs, on a bench, on the grass and to the side of a yoga group at the Temple of Music :) You never know what will make a good background!

Facebook

Hi friends- while I try my best to update my website weekly, make sure to be my fan on Facebook or click on the little cursive f up in the right hand corner of this page and click like! You'll instantly be following my latest work, usually with some posted the day I shoot the photographs. Hope to see you there! For today though, here's a little sunny day picture to get us through the stormy weather! Don't you wish we were all there?

Abbey- Cranston, RI Senior Photography, Rhode Island Senior Photography

Abbey had the genuine beauty that makes a portrait so easy to photograph. She took direction with ease, had perfectly coordinated outfits and was open to suggestions about what to do and how to pose. She will soon be beginning her senior year and is excited about all the wonderful things in her future- the prom, college visits and all the sports teams she plays for in the fall and spring. I wish you the best in all you do Abbey!

Julie- Rhode Island Maternity Photography

Julie is one of my oldest and dearest friends. She is due with her first baby next week and when we went to lunch the other day, we took a few minutes to capture a couple pictures for her to remember this time. She told me she would be brave and let me put them on my website. Thanks for letting me take these- it was an honor!

Patrick and Delaney- Narragansett, RI Children's Portraits

Patrick and Delaney are two of the most lovely kids you will meet (which I attribute to both their personalities and their awesome parents, Bridget and Sean). They both had plenty of things to show me in their backyard and Patrick kept making sure his little sis was in on all the action. If I told them to stand with each other, Patrick had his arm out to welcome Delaney in for a hug and a kiss. It's great to see siblings that appreciate and enjoy each other so much. As the sun was sinking in the sky, we got some awesome "hair light" which gave a golden glow to their skin and I think you'll be able to tell which picture had the most apparent angelic glow. I hope we get to hang out again someday kiddos because I will certainly be seeing your mom soon at our favorite restaurant, Crazy Burger!

Anna's 6 Month Portraits- Cranston, RI Photography

The start of this session might have been the fastest I've ever worked-- rain was on the way. We could hear the thunder as we started to shoot so we did what we could and decided to call it a day. Bethany, Anna's mom, and her mom met me again the next day to work on the second half....which included my favorite dress. The polka dot. I couldn't get over how cute Anna was in that floppy hat! She rocked it! We also did some pictures that are going to be used as a present for someone, so while I can't show them here, I sure hope the recipient loves all the giggles and smiles Anna had to offer!

Kathy and Devin- Sudbury, MA Wedding

My good friend, Jon, is not only a great photographer but he's practically Stephanie Mills Photography's one man advertising campaign/PR firm. He's helped me get this website done, helped me launch my side project Photos for Joe in honor of my brother, and does me the favor of suggesting my name to people looking for a photographer. Rewind a few months and Kathy, Jon's co-worker at Atlantis Technology (not to be confused with my awesome husband's Atlantis Pool Service) said she was looking for a wedding photographer. She lives in CA but planned her wedding long distance. Jon put the two of us in touch and we quickly became friends. Kathy even sent me an invitation to her wedding with a +1 and told me when my time taking pictures was done to just enjoy and have fun (which I did, to the tune of two desserts including an Its It. Don't know what that is? Imagine two oatmeal cookies stuffed with ice cream and then dipped in chocolate). Kathy and Devin embodied what a wedding should be-- low stress,  full of smiles and over-the-top love. They married in Kathy's hometown church and then had the reception on a horse farm in Sudbury. The weather was perfect and as the sun sank lower in the sky, we did our formals and it was awesome.  I wish Kathy and Devin a lifetime of happiness in their new hometown of Oakland!

Kerry and Ruben- Cranston, RI and Brooklyn, NY Engagement Photos

Kerry and Ruben did me the biggest honor- they chose me and drove here from NY to have their engagement photos done. Kerry grew up in RI but has long been re-located to lots of different places. They currently live in Brooklyn and in three weeks will marry Ruben in the Azores (side note- I should have offered free wedding pics in exchange for the trip, ha ha!) Ruben is from Portugal and they are honoring his heritage by having a gorgeous destination wedding.

Shea- Cranston, RI Portrait and Children's Photography

Shea- what a great little man. At 18 months, he is full of personality and owns a wide variety of hats. He really enjoyed the ducks, the swings, the beach, the boats...he smiled through it all even though it was his bedtime. At least Shea knows that we all must suffer a little for art, ha ha! As my friend Kate asked me, can we just take the curls off his head and paste them to our own? He has some of the most beautiful curls and big brown eyes I've ever seen! I hope he enjoyed his weekend on Block Island with his mom and dad, Marissa and Matt :) I look forward to our next shoot!

Gabriella- Cranston, RI Children's Photography and Portraits

Gabriella has the most beautiful eyes. I'm not sure she knew what to make of the photo shoot- she had just woken up from a nap and was content to just sit and giggle but after she got going, she was on a roll! By the time the cake came out, it was awesome to watch her expression. First she ate just a little bit to see if she wanted it, then a little more and finally, she just sat in it. AWESOME! Melissa, Mike and I had a great time and they are such a wonderful family. You can see the love between all of them, not only from the energy in the room but from the pictures as well :)

Tommy Pickles-- Cranston, RI Children and Family Photography

OK, so, here's the story with Marco and Jeanne. I went to the prom with Marco in 10th grade. Diana is my and Marco's best friend (still, to this day!). Diana goes off to Boston University and gets a roommate named Jeanne. Jeanne and Marco meet-- love. They get married, move to Delaware and have this adorable, perfect little man that Jeanne calls Tommy Pickles. Diana is obsessed with him. I facebook connect with Jeanne and Marco and they are visiting for Easter. We do pictures. It was amazing. Tommy was SO much fun and Jeanne loves the picture where it appears he is wearing fur chaps. Love it!

Cain and Regan- Cranston, RI Children's Photography

Cain and Regan are two babies that are on the move! They recently turned a year old and their mom, Courtney, and I had a tough time getting them in one spot together. Regan is the explorer- she wants to be checking out the lay of the land and Cain is more laid back in just taking in the scene from one spot. We did indoor photos and outdoor photos and just for fun put some bunny ears on them. I love when a parent is up for anything! Courtney also exudes calm. I give her so much credit for having twins and just rolling with it. She makes you think everyone in the world could do it!

Also, if you haven't already, head on over to my facebook and give me a like-- it will keep you up to date on all the sneak peeks and fun things going on!

Lawson and Cooper- Cranston, RI Children's Portrait Photography

Lawson and Cooper are two adorable brothers that made ME smile through the entire session-- Lawson sang to Cooper quite a bit and insisted on having "Coop" in almost all the pictures (although he did seem to enjoy a little Lawson-only-photo-time, especially when given some bubbles and a chance to run around). Now that the warmer weather is here, this is what I love- an opportunity to spend times with kids in an uninhibited way- running (Lawson challenged me to a race), laughing, having fun and eating candy. I gave Lawson a huge lollipop and unfortunately, it lost a part of it before we got pictures but I think it's fair to say he was content to eat what was left! And Cooper? He was content to take it all in and give us a few beautiful smiles. Thanks Jenn! It was a fun afternoon!

Flashback Friday- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

Each year, just as it gets nicer out, Bryan and I host a day of cooking out and lawn games. Here's Aram from last year. He's our resident kangaroo. If there is something to jump off, jump over, etc., he's there. The last picture if of my friend Jon- he's wearing my hat. That's why it is resting so peacefully on top of his head.

Baby Joey!

Joey is a sweet little bundle of happiness. He was mesmorized by the bubbles, loved laying on his tummy and really enjoyed chilling in a basket. I had a wonderful time taking his picture for the second time and a great time catching up with Missy and Joe. Missy and I went to high school together and thanks to the Facebook era, we have been able to get back in touch! Enjoy!

Kate Caito Parties- Party Planning and Cranston, RI Photography

My good friend, Kate Caito, has started up her FB page at http://tiny.cc/3wysb I've photographed a few events she has done and she has helped me at a few events I have done. If you are ever looking for something innovative, different and food to be talked about for months to come, she is your person. Between planning, catering, design, she does it all...think of it as from centerpieces to croutons to crudites. Here are some pictures from some events she has done:
