Julie and Sean- Cranston, RI Engagement Photography

Julie and Sean are two very good friends of mine. When Julie got engaged, she knew right off the bat what she wanted to do- hang out in her grandparent's garage that is chock full of a photographer's dream. Vintage cars, license plates, rusty goodness everywhere. We then strolled on down to the water in East Greenwich because Julie is an avid sailor. Overall, what a fun session. Can I do this everyday please?

Lisa and James- Cranston, RI and Foster, RI Maternity Portraits

Lisa is truly an inspiration to all-- she is due on Earth Day and has her nursery all ready with the organic, all natural crib and grows most of her food. When I went to her farm, Lisa and James showed me their 300+ plants, chickens and, my favorite, beer holder on the clothesline. We had an awesome time taking pictures, laughing and talking country. Lisa and James met in Florida, but much like me, I think they are more Nashville than Clayville...although Clayville is down home too :-)

Barbosa and Brewster- Cranston, RI Pet Portraits

These two lovable brothers are so well behaved. Not only did they take pictures inside where there was a cat and just sit patiently, but they played outside together and were eager to listen to our instructions! I think the fact we fed them a lot of treats helped a little bit :-) They are just too cute and although I don't have a dog, if I need one, I know where I can get one to borrow!!

Mexico!

Bryan and I spent an amazing five nights in Playa Mujeres, a town 25 miles north of Cancun. I planned this trip over a year ago knowing that the winters in Rhode Island are awfully tough to get through without some hope of warm weather in sight. Here are just a few of the pictures I took at the resort. We chose not to leave and to just enjoy what was there!

Joy of Love- Day 6-10

What they love....Bryan has always enjoyed coming up with fun new beverages for friends, including this really complex one for Kelly (an Alton Brown recipe?!? Is that his name?!)

Day 7- Generations-- my mom and Bry at our Superbowl Party :)

Day 8- Gifts from the heart- my wedding band and engagement ring. Can't go anywhere without them!

Day 9- What he loves to hate about me. Yup. Hangers. Bryan isn't sure how I have so many. Actually, I'm not either.

Day 10- Where he's comfortable. In the kitchen. The finally done, year in the making, absolutely perfect kitchen. Here he is sitting in it 5 years and one day after we met.

Joy of Love- Day 3, 4 and 5!

Oops! I have been taking the pictures, but not posting. Today's a three for one day!

Day 3: Then and now. Five years ago this week we met! And five years later, we're married! Bryan was not all about the ring since he had never worn anything before and he works in water and thought it would be uncomfortable but once he got it, he said he feels wierd without it :)

Day 4: What they wear. Bryan's not much of a dress up person but he's got some really nice ties, especially ones from Vietnam when he went to visit his awesome sister Sara with his awesome mom, Kathy. (Side note: I hit the jackpot on in-laws). Here are the ties hanging in the closet!

Day 5: Love to Hate. I LOVE to hate the iphone. When Bryan got it, I complained for hours about how no one needs the internet on their phone, blah, blah, blah but now I have found that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't need some random, dumb piece of information that is clearly found through the internet on his phone.

Joy of Love- Day 2- How he looks

My godson Jackson is going to grow up to be a computer or cell phone wiz. Every time he sees Bryan he says, "iphone." When I think of Jackson and how he looks, a little phone planted to his ear comes to mind. Also, if you ask him who he is talking to, he will say Nana and Pup Pup in LBI. If you ask where LBI is, he will say Jersey. This kid isn't even two yet! So smart. And on a separate side note, if you ask him who Steffie loves, he says Bry Bry. I love that.
