Zoe's Newborn Session- Cranston, RI Newborn Photography
/I loved taking these photos. Kelli and I laughed through the whole session. Zoe was not in the mood to sleep and we tried everything. After a few hours, we were able to lull her into a deep sleep long enough to get the shots. Essentially it took us 2 and a half hours to get 15 minutes of shoot time :) Babies will do what babies want to do! Good thing we had Bray to keep us entertained!
B's Newborn Session- Cumberland, RI Photography
/I feel so bad that I'm behind on blogging because when it comes to doing newborn photos, each day makes such a difference. B is now a smiling, gorgeous little baby, enjoying all the summer activities RI has to offer. I'm really excited to be photographing her with her cousins in a few weeks. This session was a breeze. The beautiful lighting that the family's home had allowed us to do beautiful natural light portraits (and get Grandma in there too!) and B slept through the entire session making it easy for us to cuddle her.
The W Family- Cranston, RI Family Photography
/One of the nicest parts of photographing families year after year is not only seeing kids get bigger but also the relationships you cultivate with parents. Elaina and I really hit it off and got our kids together recently and it really hit home how fortunate I am to do this job. I meet great people-- people who I probably would not have met. Elaina and her husband are from the mid-west, not far from where my husband was born so it seemed that we had a lot to talk about right from the start. Elaina asked Roger Williams if we could use the Botanical Gardens for our photos and I think they were a perfect way to capture a little boy who loves the park and loves flowers.
Cousins- Smithfield, RI Family Photography
/Cara and her sister booked me for separate sessions so I asked if they would like to do back to back sessions and get a picture of all of the grandkids together for her parents. She was really excited because she knew her parents would go crazy for one! I was excited to work with them to create some fun family portraits. Cara's husband is the funniest guy I've ever met and had the kids laughing from the beginning of the session until the end. I think I have myself a new assistant.
The F Family
/I really enjoy creating relationships with clients. This is the third time, in the past two years, I have worked with this awesome family and we even have another session scheduled for October. They are very much believers that their children change so much at this age and they want to preserve it as much as possible. Both parents come to sessions relaxed and allow the pictures to just happen. It's a photographer's dream.
Nikki- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography
/How sweet is she?! The ringlets, the dress, the shoes-- she was perfection to pose and photograph. I asked her what her favorite thing about school is and she said she likes two things-- reading and math. That's fierce! Girls who like math are the best! I hope she has a fantastic year in 2nd grade but there's no doubt in my mind she will!
Cameron's Sun Soaked Session- North Kingstown, RI Family Photography
/Julie and her family were so generous in offering up their home and photo session to allow me to record my promo. I love the way this session turned out-- it was so easy, laid back and the photos really represent Cameron as a spunky 14 month old. There's still time to book before the warm weather goes away!
My new promo!
/A big thanks to Julie and her family for letting me record their session and to Dan from Blueflash Photography for the awesome final product. Being on camera was reallllly awkward but Dan made it fun and I got to wear my favorite sunglasses. Win, win.
Mikey is One!
/Jack and Sasha came to visit for a cookout and I had to grab a few shots of Mikey in front of my (not-so-beautiful) fence. I love the ivy that spills over it and Mikey, fresh out of the pool, was happy to sit for a few pics and be entertained by our antics. His dad got quite a workout jumping up and down and being a goof to get Mikey laughing. We did these pics in about three minutes, once again proving that you have to work fast with babies and toddlers. About three minutes in, he was crawling to me to grab the camera! Thanks for the smiles, Mikey!
