I love this family and their willingness and desire to do an outdoor newborn session in November! They just radiated joy!
I feel so bad that I'm behind on blogging because when it comes to doing newborn photos, each day makes such a difference. B is now a smiling, gorgeous little baby, enjoying all the summer activities RI has to offer. I'm really excited to be photographing her with her cousins in a few weeks. This session was a breeze. The beautiful lighting that the family's home had allowed us to do beautiful natural light portraits (and get Grandma in there too!) and B slept through the entire session making it easy for us to cuddle her.
I don't often take newborn photos. I have mostly had the opportunity to do so for friends and family. When Heather called to ask me to take some newborn photos of Parker, I was immediately brought back to when Emmett was first born and how much those images meant to me. Even though I took them myself and none of them include us as a family, I will treasure them forever. I knew I wanted to make Heather and Marc's as special as possible because they are both special people to me. We cranked the space heater up to 80 and shot these photos in a 5x5 area of her home that had great lighting. If you saw behind-the-scenes footage, you'd laugh at me standing in a corner with a bouquet of balloons under one arm to corral them while trying to get the shot-- it was so much fun and I'm so honored to have families ask me to capture something that is such a small window of time. Parker slept like a champ and was quiet and alert when he was awake. Absolutely adorable! Introducing... Parker!
