E's Senior Portrait- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography, Rhode Island Senior Portraits

Emma is a beautiful and radiant senior. Emma took a negative that happened during her high school experience and created a positive by founding a non-profit organization called Press Pause. Press Pause is a campaign dedicated to today's youth. Her mission is to bring awareness to digital abuse, and teenagers losing themselves to society. I love the message Emma is getting out there to middle and high school students. She is mature beyond her years and it's easy to see that she will go on to do great things. IMG_5969

E is 4- East Greenwich, RI Portraits, RI Family Photographer

Miss E turned four this summer so we hit the beach for a few photos. It was really hot that day so I had to let the kids cool off in the ocean for a few pics and then we went in search of some shade. I love Goddard Park for this reason- it's got it all. Beach…woods…bridges. You can get a lot of looks within a short walk. No portrait is complete without including your best friend-- so Ryan jumped in for a few and his blue eyes were stunning! IMG_9431

The C Family- Cranston, RI Family Photography

Matt and Tara, the brains, beauty and creative forces behind Blueflash Photography, do a family photo swap with us each year. For about a month leading up to it, we exchange all kind of emails that say things like, "Where should we do this?" "I don't know. What do you think?" "I'm not sure. Ask Tara." Then we ask Tara, and she says she isn't sure. LOL. It's tough to find a spot that suits both families, isn't too crowded and has a chance for multiple looks. We ended up in Warwick at Rocky Point and LOVED it. Matt, Tara, Ez and Finn are a great family to work with because they are easy going and happy to have their pictures taken. I think we both go into these sessions with the expectation that we trust each other's judgment and we know they are photos of us, just as we are now. So, if the kids cry or they aren't into standing in one spot, we go with it. Emmett spent half the session running in circles but Matt still got great photos. I guess you just have to embrace the "anything goes," when working with toddlers. I will take candid, fun, laughter and sun flare over posed any day and I'm glad the Celeste family does too! The G Family- Cranston, RI Family Portraits

I love this family! I have worked with Lisa for a few years (and we all grew up in Cranston just a few minutes from each other). Lisa told me everyone was going to be together for a short time in July. Her brother lives in Germany so we were going to do our best to get a variety of family photos while they were all together! Here's just a few. IMG_5433

Lisa's Maternity Portraits- RI Maternity Photos, RI Maternity Portrait

Lisa is one of a kind. I've described her as the type of person who would whittle you a boat out of sticks if she knew that's what you really wanted. She's thoughtful and generous and the type of teacher you want all children to have. She is due in September with a little girl and wanted to do some maternity portraits with her husband and son on the beach since she was married on the beach. I was happy to oblige and sunset made for a great time of day. I asked if she was open to going in the water and she was so I was thrilled to jump right in with her. Her husband was a sport too- I made him come in and hold my flash :) Congratulations, B family! I can't wait to meet her! IMG_0008-Edit

Leah- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography, Rhode Island Family Photos

My summer mini sessions were a success! I was able to capture quite a few cuties on two beautiful June days. I'm so excited to share these photos of Leah. She is three and a dream to photograph! Love that hair bow too! IMG_1870

Greyson- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

Greyson came to my Ahoy, Matey sessions but I wanted to give a special introduction to him. Greyson was born with severe damage to his optic nerve. He will never be able to see. His mom, Jessica, told me she was not sure he would know where to look for the photos but that he loves to dance. We put on some Taylor Swift and these photos are the result of the dance party that happened! His mom and dad seem like super people- the kind that are working their butt off to make sure Greyson never has to struggle a day in his life. I really enjoyed meeting them all and I hope we can work together in the future! IMG_0543

Dawn and Her Girls- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography, RI Photographer

Dawn contacted me to shoot a special session- both her girls would be home for one weekend and then they were going their separate ways. One daughter was going to Peru and the other to her job in another state. Dawn said she wanted a photograph to remember this time as her daughter's embark on their new lives. I loved the warmth of these three women. IMG_8357 IMG_8377-2

Baby E- Johnston, RI Portrait Photography

Baby E gave us a run for our money! She was fast asleep when I arrived and we did maybe one shot and BAM! She was wide awake. I think she was wondering what this large black lens was doing. Her little blue eyes were focused on me for about two hours. We finally got her to sleep and then she was a dream to pose. After I left, her mom texted me that she slept for hours! That's always the way! :) IMG_8146

The C Family- Rhode Island Family Photographer, RI Family Portraits

Melissa's family is soooo sweet. The girls are funny, spunky and full of energy. We did Elsa twirls, ran around, posing each way Gabriella suggested ("I've got an idea…") and tried our best to get a pony tail in the air shot (success)! I think this is the 4th time we've worked together, so it really just brings to mind how much I like seeing families year after year. I watch the kids grow and keep up with genuinely nice people.
