Cameron's Sun Soaked Session- North Kingstown, RI Family Photography

Julie and her family were so generous in offering up their home and photo session to allow me to record my promo.  I love the way this session turned out-- it was so easy, laid back and the photos really represent Cameron as a spunky 14 month old. There's still time to book before the warm weather goes away! IMG_0007

The R Family- Cranston, RI Maternity Photography

WOW is all I can say about this beautiful mama-to-be (again). You could tell how happy she is being the mother to one little boy and her joy just doubled this week when she delivered another healthy little boy. I was blown away by how easy going and relaxed this session was and I loved the color coordination. Her son was a natural for the camera and I love the shot of him with his daddy! Congratulations, Lauren and family! IMG_0157

Mikey is One!

Jack and Sasha came to visit for a cookout and I had to grab a few shots of Mikey in front of my (not-so-beautiful) fence. I love the ivy that spills over it and Mikey, fresh out of the pool, was happy to sit for a few pics and be entertained by our antics. His dad got quite a workout jumping up and down and being a goof to get Mikey laughing. We did these pics in about three minutes, once again proving that you have to work fast with babies and toddlers. About three minutes in, he was crawling to me to grab the camera! Thanks for the smiles, Mikey! IMG_0343

Joshua is here! Cranston, RI Sibling and Family Photography

Ella loves being a proud big sister to newborn, Josh and came to visit for a photo session. The weather was gorgeous and we used parts of my backyard to get some different shots. Josh was great-- he didn't make a peep throughout the session and I look forward to the next session when he's sitting up. It will be here before you know it! These lazy summer days fly by! IMG_0202

The K Family- Narragansett, RI Portrait Photography

This is the second time I have worked with Bridget and her family and I love them. Both times we caught the nicest golden hour, resulting in beautiful light. Shooting about an hour and a half before sunset really helps your photos get that golden glow. The kids were so awesome-- they ran, they played, they jumped…there's too many fun photos to post here. I even had to limit myself from the first batch I had ready to put on the blog. My favorite picture of the day, though, is Patrick and Delaney pointing out where their dad is from-- they have lots of family in Australia and even got to visit last summer. I believe that experience and cultural exposure has helped shaped them into the great kids they are (of course, amazing parents help too!) :) IMG_0077

Kara's Senior Session- Cranston, RI Senior Portrait Photography

Kara is my son's babysitter, as well as the daughter of a colleague. I just love her sweet, fun nature as well as her desire to have her senior photos done in her uniform! Kara is an "Ette" which is a dance team at her high school. As she enters her senior year, she's also entering her second year as an Ette and wanted to make sure her photos captured her in her red and white. I had a lot of fun with this session because, I too, am a Cranston West alumni and while I wore the red and white, it was for the band, not the dance team. I wish you a wonderful senior year, Kara! Charlie Finn- Cranston, RI Newborn Photography

It's been a baby tsunami when it comes to my group of friends. I went to Julie and Matt's house to do this session and we literally did it in one corner of one room because it had beautiful window light! Tommy, proud big brother, was very eager to show off Charlie Finn (and show me how he could hold him) but Tommy was also very excited to ham it up a little on his own. IMG_0011-2

Patrick is One! Cranston, RI Children's Photography

Bethany and I had a plan-- we wanted a session that would be quick to keep Patrick's attention and also quick to avoid the impending rain clouds above. We met at the park one day after school and it was almost empty- a rare thing for a spring day! We were able to get a few different looks within the same 500 square feet. Add in the blooming cherry blossoms and it was the perfect 1 year old session! IMG_0052

The C Family- Cranston, RI Cake Smash, Cranston, RI Family Photography, Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

When Melissa called me to photograph her daughter's first birthday, I couldn't help but be not-so-secretly thrilled. Everything Melissa does is with an eye for detail and flair. I knew her daughters would be adorably dressed and excited for their session. Her oldest asked for days in advance, "when is the photographer getting here to take my picture?!?" Needless to say, it made my job very easy since both of them were perfectly behaved, smiley and full of energy for the multiple places we moved them for a variety of "looks." We went from dressy to cake smashing and I loved it!

Olivia and Tony- Providence, RI Engagement Session, Rhode Island Engagement Photography

Olivia and Tony contacted me for some engagement pics here in RI this spring. Their wedding will take place in New York but they wanted some save the date photos. Olivia ordered the most adorable sign for their dog to wear during the photos and were really smart in bringing a friend to take the pup when the photos were done. Then it was time for us to really have fun. We took advantage of all of the nice spots at India Point Park- especially the trees in bloom. It was a beautiful session and I loved Olivia's dress. I wish them all the luck in the world as they plan their big day!

Parker's Newborn Session- Attleboro, MA Newborn Photography

I don't often take newborn photos. I have mostly had the opportunity to do so for friends and family. When Heather called to ask me to take some newborn photos of Parker, I was immediately brought back to when Emmett was first born and how much those images meant to me. Even though I took them myself and none of them include us as a family, I will treasure them forever. I knew I wanted to make Heather and Marc's as special as possible because they are both special people to me. We cranked the space heater up to 80 and shot these photos in a 5x5 area of her home that had great lighting. If you saw behind-the-scenes footage, you'd laugh at me standing in a corner with a bouquet of balloons under one arm to corral them while trying to get the shot-- it was so much fun and I'm so honored to have families ask me to capture something that is such a small window of time. Parker slept like a champ and was quiet and alert when he was awake. Absolutely adorable! Introducing... Parker!

The Celeste Family- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography, Cranston, RI Family Photography

I love these people. Seriously. Matt did my awesome Mother's Day photos, which you can see on his blog.  Side note: If you need your wedding photos taken, check out Blueflash. You won't be disappointed. Matt's got a ridiculous eye for detail, color and fun. While we were out for my session, I asked if they wanted a few family photos. They were game and conveniently, I had my camera with me (mostly because I knew Tara would wear something adorable and striped and I couldn't pass up the photographic opportunity. She is just so darn cute all the time). Ezra, their son, had found a giant stick that somehow managed to make its way into their family photos. As I quoted that day, "Speak softly and carry a big stick during a family photo." What I love most about these few photos is that they are real. They are squirmy toddlers, grinning babies, doting dads and laughing moms. That's what photography is all about. The here, the now and the opposite of a perfectly posed, everyone-sitting-still photo. I've shot family photos for Tara and Matt three times and they said they loved these best because they are the Celeste family. Just as they are.  IMG_7021

Billy and Alyssa- Cranston, RI Portrait Photography

When Alyssa turned one, her mom really wanted to have that one great shot to hang on the wall for years to come. I met them at their house early in the morning and Alyssa was like a little princess in her birthday dress. We did quite a few of her but also had to get a few of big brother. He was a natural in front (and behind the camera- he taught me a thing or two) and I think we got quite a few of these adorable siblings!
